A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)

Plot: When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming commercialism he sees during the holiday season, Lucy suggests that he become the director of the school Christmas play. He accepts the challenge, but his efforts are constantly mocked by his peers, especially when he chooses a tiny, wilting live pine tree instead of a shiny aluminum one as the centerpiece. With a little help from Linus and the rest of the Peanuts gang, Charlie Brown discovers the true, heartfelt meaning of Christmas.
