Airheads (1994)

Plot: Three desperate, heavy-metal musicians who call themselves "The Lone Rangers" can't get anyone to listen to their demo tape. Taking matters into their own hands, they crash a local rock radio station to force the DJ to play their track. But when things spiral out of control and their fake toy guns are mistaken for real weapons, they inadvertently hold the entire station hostage, becoming overnight anti-corporate folk heroes to a mob of rebellious rock fans and the media outside.•
