Down to Earth (2001)

Plot: Lance Barton is a struggling but talented stand-up comedian who gets unexpectedly struck by a truck and killed before his time. Upon arriving at the pearly gates, an overanxious celestial coordinator admits a massive bureaucratic mistake was made—it was not supposed to be Lance's time to die for decades. Because his original body has already been destroyed, Lance is sent back to Earth in the body of Charles Wellington III, an incredibly wealthy, elderly, and profoundly unpopular white businessman. Navigating his bizarre new appearance while retaining his old comedic soul, Lance tries to restart his comedy career and win over the woman of his dreams in a hilarious race to live life on his own terms.
