Mortal Thoughts (1991)

Plot: Cynthia Kellogg finds herself trapped in a high-stakes interrogation room as a sharp police detective attempts to untangle a dark web of murder and deception. Through a series of tense, haunting flashbacks, Cynthia recounts the tragic downfall of James Urbanski—an abusive, volatile drunk married to her best friend, Joyce. When James turns up dead with his throat slit at a local carnival, the lines between victim and executioner blur. Caught between intense loyalty to her friend and the terrifying realization of what actually happened, Cynthia must navigate a dangerous psychological minefield where telling the truth might be just as deadly as keeping a secret.
