Mr. Brooks (2007)

Plot: Earl Brooks is a wealthy, respected Portland businessman, a loving father, and the city's reigning "Man of the Year." He also harbors a horrific addiction: he is a notorious serial killer known to authorities as the "Thumbprint Killer." Though he has successfully curbed his compulsion for two years via 12-step meetings, his sinister, malicious alter ego, Marshall, reemerges to drive him back to violence. When an amateur photographer catches him in the act and blackmail ensues, Earl finds himself ensnared in a complex game of cat-and-mouse with a persistent detective, forcing him to devise a ruthless strategy to secure his dark secret and protect his family legacy.
