Pretty in Pink (1986)

Plot: Andie is a high school outcast from the wrong side of the tracks who spends most of her time fashioning her own unique clothing or hanging out with her eccentric best friend, Duckie, who is secretly in love with her. When Blane, one of the wealthy, popular "preppies" at school, unexpectedly asks Andie out, their budding cross-class romance triggers intense social backlash. Caught between the expectations of her friends, the disapproval of Blane's affluent inner circle, and her own self-doubt, Andie must navigate the ultimate test of high school heartbreak and peer pressure as prom night approaches.
