Showtime (2002)

Plot: After a botched undercover operation, no-nonsense LAPD Detective Mitch Preston is forced by his superiors to star in a new reality-based television cop show. To maximize ratings, the network pairs him with Trey Sellars, a bumbling, camera-ready patrol officer who is secretly an aspiring actor. While trying to track down a dangerous illegal arms dealer distributing a high-powered weapon, the mismatched partners must tolerate an intrusive camera crew, an obsessed television producer, and highly artificial set modifications to their real daily lives.
