The Plot
Our protagonist, Marv (Mickey Rourke), is a hulking, scarred ex-con who treats street justice like an absolute personal law. He has a simple plan: track down the monster responsible for murdering Goldie, the only woman who ever showed him kindness, and make them pay. But on the eve of his hunt, his investigation pulls him into a vast conspiracy involving powerful corrupt officials, tasks him with navigating a war between lethal sex workers and dirty cops, and forces him to broker a bloody peace in Old Town. As alliances shift and the body count rises, he quickly realizes that getting out of the "layer cake" of Sin City's corruption is a deadly game.
