Stigmata (1999)

Plot: Frankie Paige is a young, carefree Pittsburgh hair stylist with no religious beliefs whatsoever. Her life spirals into a terrifying nightmare when she suddenly begins bleeding from her wrists and feet—spontaneously manifesting the stigmata, the sacred wounds of Christ. As her violent, unexplainable afflictions grow increasingly severe, the Vatican dispatches Father Andrew Kiernan, a pragmatic priest and investigator, to debunk the miracle. However, Kiernan quickly discovers that Frankie is not experiencing a hoax, but is a vessel for a terrifying, prophetic message that could threaten the very foundations of the Catholic Church.
