The Evil Dead (Theatrical: 1981 / DVD Release: 2002)

Plot: Five college students travel to a remote, isolated cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway. While exploring the cabin, they discover a mysterious book called the Naturon Demonto (the Book of the Dead) alongside an old audio tape. When they play the recorded incantations aloud, they accidentally release a horde of ancient, flesh-possessing demons. One by one, the friends are brutally possessed by the evil entities, turning a peaceful vacation into a terrifying, gore-filled fight for survival where only Ash Williams stands between the living and the dead.
