Plot: This moving feature-length documentary explores the devastating diabetes epidemic sweeping through Indigenous communities across Canada. Ojibway filmmaker Brion Whitford personalises the crisis as he lives with the extreme physical tolls of advanced diabetes. Having initially turned his back on traditional Indigenous medicine, a critical decline in his physical health forces a transformative change of heart. The film captures Brion's intimate struggle to re-establish balance, come to grips with his own mortality, and heal by reconnecting with his culture and the holistic teachings of the medicine wheel.
