The Killing Kind (2000)

Plot: Jack is a charismatic, small-time crook who is unexpectedly released from prison with one goal in mind: tracking down the mysterious associate who betrayed him. Returning to his old stomping grounds, he entangles himself with an eccentric array of local street figures, lowlifes, and a desperate woman running from a dangerous past. As Jack digs deeper into the underworld to uncover the truth, he gets pulled into an intricate maze of shifting alliances, hidden motives, and psychological mind games. With the boundaries of loyalty being pushed to their absolute limits, his quest for basic retribution fast spirals out of control, careening toward a tense and unpredictable final showdown where nobody is truly safe.
