The Replacements (2000)

Plot: When a professional football players' strike threatens to derail the Washington Sentinels' season, legendary coach Jimmy McGinty is called out of retirement to assemble a roster of ragtag substitute players. Headlining this eccentric group of misfits is Shane Falco, a washed-up college quarterback looking for a second chance at redemption. Along with a manic cop, a sumo wrestler, and a hyper-fast wide receiver who can't catch, this unlikely team of underdogs must find a way to work together, win over the fans, and prove they have the heart of true champions.
