We Bought a Zoo (2011)

Plot: Devastated by the untimely loss of his wife, Los Angeles journalist Benjamin Mee decides his grieving family needs a completely fresh start. On a whim, he quits his job and unloads his savings to purchase a beautiful 18-acre country estate. The catch? The property houses the dilapidated, closed-down Rosemoor Wildlife Park. With absolutely no experience, a tight budget, and a skeptical teenage son, Benjamin teams up with head zookeeper Kelly Foster and an eclectic, passionate crew. Together, they scramble to renovate the grounds, care for two hundred exotic animals, and pass a crucial government inspection to reopen the gates and heal their family.
